The Innovation Workshop is tailored for young individuals eager to translate their passions and ideas into impactful solutions, catalyzing positive transformations within their communities. In July 2023, The Development School introduced its inaugural workshop, conducted in collaboration with schools and libraries across diverse Sub-Saharan African communities. This engaging workshop offers participants an enjoyable environment to discover the art of identifying local community issues, crafting innovative solutions, and aligning these solutions with global frameworks like the Sustainable Development Goals.

Tailored Learning: We've fine-tuned our curriculum into digestible learning content to suit our audience and their cities in Africa, making every workshop impactful and relevant.

Free to Attend: The Innovation Workshops are free to attend! It's why we encourage you to come as you are and with as many people as you can.
Fun-filled Environment: Who says learning how to solve problems in your community has to be boring? We do serious business at the workshops quite all right, but in a space encouraging you to learn while having fun.
Real-time Guidance: In our workshops, you have the opportunity to present your social innovation ideas and receive real-time feedback on what works well and areas for improvement.

From one community to the next ...

Acknowledging the diversity within our student body spread across different Sub-Saharan African communities, the Innovation Workshop adopts a hybrid approach to ensure inclusivity. For our in-person workshops, we strategically select cities with active members of our Young Africans in Development Network, collaborating closely with our ambassadors to facilitate a seamless workshop delivery.
