Whether you are a first-time visitor or an OG, you are welcome to engage in our work by selecting the box that best describes you.

Resources for Learners

Are you a young person looking to equip yourself with the knowledge to solve problems?

Resources for Schools

Are you an institution looking to nurture responsible and globally conscious students?

Resources for Organizations

Looking to integrate sustainable development practices into your workplace?

If you could address a problem around you, what would it be?

At the Development School, we teach our students how to observe problems affecting their communities. But they don't stop there. Through our Innovation Workshops, holding in partnership with schools and libraries across various communities in Sub-Saharan Africa, we provide them with the practical, hands-on experience of designing innovative solutions to address these problems and align their solutions with the Sustainable Development Goals.
What we do

Curricula for African Communities

Our approach to education is pragmatic. We don't just want young people in Africa to learn about global development practices. We want you to apply them in solving local issues. Knowing how abstract these practices can seem to an average learner, we design our learning curricula, specifically for the African context. This makes them relatable, easy-to- comprehend and effective upon adoption.
Our community

The Young Africans in Development Network

When TDS Africa launched, we asked young Africans who were drawn to leadership and problem-solving to join a network of like-minded change-makers. In 2 days, 209 African youths had joined the YAD network. That number has since grown to a student body of more than 500 young leaders committed to driving sustainable growth in their communities.
Resources

Does your community need changemakers? Ours do.

So we created an instructional material to help you become the changemaker your community needs. Yes, we know you've observed a challenge - but where do you begin? Who do work with? How do you come up with impact-driven solutions? How do you utilize resources - and dovetail your work into global policy agendas like the SDGs. In our book, "My Community Needs Changemakers", we've provided the most actionable guide to support you.
